Sculpture

Working with fabric has been a constant in my life since childhood, when I learned to sew from my mother and grandmother. In later life, I naturally gravitated to fabric for my sculptural work. My early works were soft sculptures stuffed with quilt batting. Later, I began to expand fabric's capabilities by stiffening it with an acrylic hardener. Then I broadened my palette to include found objects and other items. Most of these works explore facets of texture, form, and color.
